NewCold Bucharest celebrating strong momentum and modern cold chain innovation

Bucharest, Romania — 1 April, 2026 — NewCold is proud to celebrate a major milestone at its Bucharest site: one year since the first pallet entered the warehouse, marking a year of growth, operational progress, and continued investment in Romania’s strategic role within the European food supply chain.

What began as a greenfield development has rapidly transformed into a state of the art cold storage hub designed to set new standards in efficiency, sustainability, and reliability. Over the past 12 months, the Bucharest team has successfully progressed from early construction and initial manual operations to preparing for the next phase: the build out of NewCold’s 75000 pallet fully automated high bay warehouse planned for launch early in 2027.

The past year represents an important chapter in NewCold’s expansion across Central and South Eastern Europe. Key developments include:

1. The transformation from greenfield conditions to active construction of NewCold’s next generation automated cold store.
2. Successful operation of the existing 6400 pallet manual warehouse, now supporting Romanian and regional customers with high quality cold chain services.
